What are document records? Document records are “pointers” to the SAP Document Management System or SAP DMS (where all the files in SAP are stored). Why? Because under the Document data tab, you can find all the document records for the Purchase Order. If you are looking for the Purchase Order’s documents, the Document data tab is your best friend.
