When it asks you your problem, just say Game info. Go to choose a game and select Sims 2, hit next.ĥ. In some cases, if there is a conflict with the two installs, it may be necessary to uninstall the original game but the agent advised me to try it first before doing anything else.ģ. Your save and download files are untouched so if you want to have all your custom content in the download version you will need to copy that over. To play the download version, I did have a new shortcut placed in my start menu so I can run either version (I think though I didn't try it). What the download does, it installs the game separately from your original install so you do end up with two installs. So, yes, as long as you have your Sims 2 CD and your code that you registered the game with you can still get this awesome collection. The download is huge (over 10 gb) but it is worth it. The agent I contacted asked me a few questions for verification and in very short order was able to set up the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection in my origin account. I still have my CDs and code along with a few EPs which I had installed on my computer. Just thought I would throw my two cents in here, on October 17th, 2015, I contacted EA help to find out if it were possible to get the Ultimate Collection.
